Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or order from Altura, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Altura is a womenswear label operated by SIA Altura LV ("Altura", "we", "us"), a company registered in Latvia with its studio at Stacijas iela 26–1, Ludza, LV-5701. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), SIA Altura LV is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us any time at office@sia-altura-shop.eu.
2. Data we collect
We only collect what we need to run the shop and reply to you:
- Contact & order details — your name, email address and phone number when you send an enquiry, place an order or write to the studio.
- Order content — the items in your bag and any notes you add, so we can prepare your order.
- Messages — the content of emails and form messages you send us.
- Technical data — basic, largely anonymous information such as browser type, device and pages viewed, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookies Policy).
We do not knowingly collect special categories of data, and we never ask for full payment card numbers by email or through this website.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide customer care;
- confirm, prepare, ship and support your orders;
- send you the Altura letter, where you have asked to receive it;
- improve our website, collection and service;
- meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
4. Legal bases
Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to handle your order and enquiry), your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you may withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (to keep the site secure and improve our service), and legal obligation (to keep accounting records).
5. Sharing & processors
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example, shipping couriers, our email and hosting providers, and payment processors — and only to the extent they need it to perform their service. These processors are bound by contract to protect your data. Any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area is made only with appropriate safeguards in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Data retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Order and accounting records are kept for the period required by Latvian and EU law; enquiry correspondence is kept for a reasonable period to provide continuity of service; and marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Wherever the GDPR applies, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, simply email office@sia-altura-shop.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where changes are significant, let you know by a notice on the website.
